We will be running a flexible trial this weekend to combat the heat as best we can and keep all of our competitors as safe and comfortable as possible!

FRIDAY COMPETITORS: Gates will open at 8am. Due to many competitors reaching out with scheduling and weather concerns we will run Friday similar to a splash card event- you can show up anytime between 8-3:30 to complete your distance splashes. Hydrodash can be run anytime there is no one needing to complete distance splashes. The applies to on-site registration as well, so if you are not currently registered for Friday but want to stop in at any point during the day and knock out splashes, feel free!

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY COMPETITORS: We will run as quickly through splashes as we can without rushing anyone. If you are only signed up for later splashes you are not required to be here before your splash check in time, but feel free to come earlier to complete your jumps.

We do have room for on site registration in ALL splashes, and HDD Regionals shirts are ready to pick up! Can't wait to see everyone!

Just a heads up, if you have a lesson this week and planned on me holding your dog or throwing during your lesson....get with me so we can come up with plan B or I can make sure Jason or Jace will be here to help 🫣

Jace's steer decided to see what it takes to re-dislocate my shoulder today, and come to find out it doesn't take much at all 🙃

Going to do my best to take it easy in hopes that this doesn't become a regular occurrence and/or I get in to see me ortho doc 😅

***REMINDER***

It is hot out. The dock and pool are in full sun. If you are coming to do a rental after 11am you should check the dock temperature and spray the dock down if necessary! There is a hose at the top of the dock behind the wall at the back of the dock for this.

While we refresh the pool water multiple times a week, at this time of year expect the pool water to be warm! Dogs can absolutely overheat in water. Watch your dog and be ready to make them take breaks or cool them off if necessary.

Also, watch your dogs water intake with the heat and do your best to keep them from gulping water or biting splashes while swimming to avoid the possibility of bloat or water intoxication.

These are all things that we watch for in lessons, but fall onto the shoulders of handlers when using the pool and dock in rentals to keep both dogs and handlers safe!

Thank you to everyone that came out this weekend and jumped and had a blast with us! So many new faces, so many regulars, and so many dogs coming back from breaks that were sure happy to be back on the dock!

The inaugural Battle of the Breeds was fun to watch play out, we will make an official announcement regarding that tomorrow 😉

We have one more trial this year for the 2026 season and we hope to see everyone here in July!

Congratulations to everyone who qualified for regional, and to the following dogs for earning titles this weekend!
