escue & Services (MARS) is committed to serving both pet and parent, finding homes for animals that were once lost, left behind and forgotten, while bringing harmony and enhancing education in our community. Midwest Animal Rescue & Services™ (MARS) is a dedicated and passionate group who rescues dogs and cats that are at risk and homeless through no fault of their own. Once in our care, these companion animals are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Special attention is provided for those animals that need additional time and medical care before going to a new home. MARS is committed to helping pets in need whenever possible, including all breeds and ages. MARS does not have a shelter facility for boarding. We are a foster-based rescue group that runs on the support and aid of dedicated volunteers and supporters. Our fostered pets live in homes, as family members, receiving all of the love and care they would in an adoptive home, until they are adopted. The adopters gain greater insight into the pets’ behavior and personality versus interacting with an animal who has been living in a kennel and the pet is more prepared for a loving home life. This helps produce the best match possible for the new families, resulting in a 98% success rate! Let us help you find the perfect match! MARS is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

How It Started--How It's Going...Zibu is growing up in rescue and cannot find a place to call home (even temporary!) Through no fault of her own, she's going to be homeless again today and facing having to live in a board facility. 😫 This breaks our hearts!!

She's a *puppy*! A big puppy. She was adopted and returned in May because she knocked a little human over by accident. Today, she had another possible chance of being adopted, however...the resident cats looked like toys. They ran, she chased!

She needs a home:
- Help her channel her energy in productive ways (she's fun!)
- Has no little humans under 6 years old
- No feline "friends"

Who do you know, MARS Community!? Let's get her in a HOME and NOT in boarding!!! Reminder, if you foster with MARS, we provide lots of support, and can provide all the supplies needed to bring a pet home.

Update: and just like that--our community shows us, and Theo, how amazing we are together!! He has a place to call home again...even if it's temporary while he looks for his forever home. We're grateful. Thank you MARS Community!!! Hug your babies tonight. 💙

Theo's having a sad day today and is wondering if anyone can love on him tonight? His owner recently got very sick, and he was brought in today for a vet appointment..and left homeless at the end of it. Our hearts break for his family, and for him. 😞

Can anyone foster home?? We can provide the support and support--you provide the love and care! 💙

"Theo is a very gentle old man… age is around 10-12 years. He loves to go on walks and sniff all the wonderful scents outside.He’s calm and really loves to relax and take lots of naps. He’s also is treat motivated. He’s a little weather sensitive- thunderstorms will make him anxious, but does fine when given some calming chews. Isn’t a barker and is friendly with people and dogs. Theo just needs a loving home to live out his golden years in. "

Happy National Dog Day!! How are you celebrating with your best friend today? 🐶 Join us tomorrow evening at Stanley's for an extended celebration!! 10% of your bill will be donated to fund our mission in rescuing pets and helping the community! If you need a dog, Hazy is looking for a foster home tomorrow!! She's a great girl who just joined MARS this past weekend. Amazing community!! Everyone is covered!!
Well the weekend is coming fast and we are starting to panic.....We have 7 sweet souls who are hping to start wonderful new lives as MARS animals. WE need you! If you have ever considered fostering please give it a try.

Nani arrives Friday 8/22. She is from a small shelter that is over flowing and was on limited time!

The rest come Saturday 8/23! We are down to the wire and need our community's help! They are just babies !!
