Our U-Pick season has come to an end!
Thank you to everyone who came out, picked fruit, and supported our farm this season. We are truly grateful for each of you and for the special moments we shared. Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas filled with joy and gratitude.

Today we had something truly special here at the farm. We were honored to welcome our friends who came together to pick 2,000 pounds of satsuma mandarins to be donated to the local food bank. We are very grateful to everyone involved for turning our fruit into kindness for so many families.

Thank you Joseph Cook, for coming out today and picking 350 pounds of fruit to make your wine! We really appreciate your support and love seeing our fruit used in such special projects. 🍊🍷

We also have just two young satsuma trees near our gazebo where the water sprinkler system doesn’t reach. For those, we did what we could: we wrapped the trunks with insulation and covered them with these white protective caps. Now we wait. We honestly don’t know yet if they will make it through the cold, but we’ll keep an eye on them and share an update in the coming days. Farming is a mix of care, hope, and patience

This is what protection looks like. We have been running our sprinkler system nonstop for the past 24 hours to protect our trees from the cold. If everything goes as expected, we’ll turn the water off tomorrow. Farming is never boring, but it’s always worth it.

We wrapped our young satsuma trees to protect them from the predicted 22°F on Monday. Cold weather is coming, but the orchard is full of sweet fruit right now. We are open today, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: come pick your satsumas for $1 per pound! 🍊💛

We just tested our satsumas after last night’s 28 F cold, and they are still perfect! 🍊❄️For next Monday, they are predicting around 24°F, which could freeze the satsumas. So come pick your fruit while everything is still good!
