I want to offer full transparency to my customers after yesterday’s post. I don’t want to sell my store. I love running it, and love serving the all of my amazing customers, and their pets! But as many of you may know, I have not even begun paying myself since opening in 2023. With growing uncertainty of what my household income might be in the near future, I feel I have to be realistic, and at the very least begin looking for buyers for the store. The store itself is doing fine, I personally am fine, I just find myself in a difficult position with a difficult decision to make. This area needs a pet store like mine! Which is why I want to sell rather than close. Ideally, I could remain the owner and pay myself, but sales would have to increase to a point that likely won’t happen soon enough in today’s market. Hopefully I am wrong, and things will turn around sooner than I think, but we will just have to wait and see. Thank you to everyone who commented yesterday and for your concerns! I couldn’t respond to all of them, so I hope this post offers some clarity.
