Sorry everyone, but unfortunately we are returning to curbside services starting Monday 8/16/21. We are also not able to do walk in services such as nail trims, a**l gland expressions, and ear cleanings. We are very sorry for this inconvenience. This is not how we want to conduct our business. Thank you for your continued support in this difficult time.

Guess what everyone!?

We are starting our walk in services again 7/09/21 But, there are a few changes that you need to be aware of...

Prices have changed for ears, nails, and glands. If you are wanting ears cleaned, nails trimmed, or a**l glands expressed our new time is 9:30am - 11:00am.

If you need a Bordetella or Rabies vaccine, it is for established patients only and you must make an appointment for 9:00am, but it is still considered a walk in service.

PLEASE BE PATIENT AND RESPECTFUL! ANY RUDE OR DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! All walk ins are first come first serve, with exceptions of our appointments, who always come first!

We are so happy to see everyone again!

Our doors are finally open!

Masks are recommended for all those who feel the need for their protection, for those with immune-compromised health, and for those who choose not to recieve the covid vaccine.

Thank you to all our clients/patients who stood by us and understood the reasons we kept our doors closed, You are the reason we are still here!

We are excited to see many smiling faces, and are happy to see you with your animals once again!!!

Oregon veterinarians have been directed by Gov. Brown to stop *elective* surgical procedures no later than March 23 so that masks, gowns, and gloves (PPE) can be preserved. Examples would include a spay or neuter or a dental cleaning. Your veterinarian will provide guidance relative to your specific animal's needs, such as rescheduling a procedure to a later date (no earlier than June 15 per the Executive Order) if it fits the requirement to preserve PPE. Veterinary services such as exams and vaccinations do not require PPE so they can continue. Your veterinarian may have put new protocols in place to limit physical contact between staff and clients, which means you may not be able to go into the clinic with your pet. Please be understanding. We want to keep veterinarians and their staff physically well so that they can keep caring for our animals. If your pet is on medication, takes parasite preventives, or eats a veterinary therapeutic diet, ask your veterinarian about how you can order those items online to avoid trips out of the house. Veterinarians are also allowed to use telemedicine at their discretion. Our members and the entire veterinary team cares deeply about your animals, and are working hard to continue caring for them in this challenging time. We're all in this together. Gov. Brown has asked veterinarians to donate PPE to the human healthcare effort and many have so far, with more to come.

BROOKINGS-HARBOR VETERINARY HOSPITAL

We are OPEN for business!!
Based on the current business closures and social distance recommendations within our community, and at our Hospital, we have modified our business schedule, in an effort to protect both our clients and our staff.
Our hospital will remain open, and our animal patients will be able to be seen and treated.
Simply call upon your arrival at your appointment time, we will then assist in admitting your pets for examination and treatment at this point. You may have to experience some inconvenience, as owners will be asked to remain at their vehicle, and will be expected to pick up their pets at a later discharge time, all in an effort to reduce your exposure to staff and other clients within our hospital.
Please make sure that all dogs are securely leashed, and all cats are in a secure carrier. For the safety of your pet, if these guidelines aren't followed we will not be able to admit them. Sorry NO exceptions.
We will also deliver food and prescription refills to your car, again phone us upon your arrival.
We will do our best to continue to offer our walk in services, however, you may experience a prolonged wait due to the current situation.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. We wish the best for you and your family and pets, during this stressful time. We also appreciate your understanding as we all try to do what is best for our patients, families and community.
We hope to be back to normal scheduling and practices by March 30.
If you have questions regarding your pets care at BHVH, or we may assist you in any way, we are here to help. (541) 469-7788
