OTTO!

At just 4 years old, Otto has already seen more hardship than any dog should.

He was rescued from a severe hoarding situation where he lived among countless other animals, never receiving the individual care, attention, or love that every dog deserves. Despite the neglect he endured, Otto’s gentle spirit remained intact.

When Otto arrived in rescue, he was suffering from flea bite dermatitis caused by an overwhelming flea infestation. The good news is that he is healing beautifully. The hair loss you may notice is simply the result of those flea bites, and his coat is already growing back with proper care and nutrition.

What is truly remarkable about Otto is how forgiving and loving he is. He has lived peacefully with cats, rabbits, and other dogs, proving that his heart is as big as it is kind. After spending his life surrounded by other animals, Otto would thrive in a home with a canine brother or sister to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence.

Otto isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for what he’s never really had—a family of his own. A soft bed. A full belly. Someone who will tell him he’s a good boy and mean it. Email us at [email protected] for an appointment if you’d like to meet OTTO.

Meet Mr DUKE (brown) & Miss LUCY (black). Their owner is having medical/ housing issues, and is heartbroken to have to surrender them at this time, but we assured her we would find them great homes! This is what we know about Mr Duke & Miss Lucy. They’re both 2, going on 3. Spayed/ neutered, FULLY potty trained, good with kids & other dogs, and will be current on vaccines. Not the best with cats, so keep that in mind. They’ve been in a loving home, after being rescued from a homeless camp as small puppies, so they’re very well behaved. While they’ve been together most of their lives, they don’t necessarily need to go together. It would be awesome if they COULD, but we understand that’s a big ask. The goal is to get them into great homes ASAP, so they don’t have to spend any unnecessary time in a shelter setting. ROSCOE, our featured Pet Of The Week, found his special people a few days ago! He was having such a hard time adjusting to shelter life, and his prior meet & greets had been a bit on the rough side, so this adoption was a VERY welcome relief for this little guy. TITAN kna PEPE’ got the most perfect new owner a super shy pup could ever ask for! When he first got to his new home, he was so scared he just wanted to hide. It took about a week, and a lot of patience, but this little Love Bug is now coming out of his shell, and just AFORES his new mom! We’re so happy for you sweet little Pepe’!

🐾 Meet Klondike! 🐾

Klondike is a 1 year old Shepherd who arrived at SCHS just yesterday, and it didn’t take him long to win our hearts. ❤️

This handsome guy has wonderful manners and is incredibly sweet, calm, and easygoing. He loves going for walks, enjoys spending time with his people, and is just an all around GREAT guy!

And seriously… look at that handsome “shake.” 🥹🐾

Klondike may be new around here, but we already know he’s pretty special. Now he just needs someone to fall in love with him as quickly as we did. ❤️

JAKE!
At just 11 months old and 70 pounds, Jake is a handsome German Shepherd mix with a heart full of potential. He was recently returned through no fault of his own after deciding the neighbor’s cats and chickens looked a little too exciting. 😅

Jake gets along well with other dogs and is still just a goofy adolescent learning the ropes. He hasn’t been neutered yet, but that will be done soon, which may help curb some of those teenage instincts.

He’s looking for a home that understands young shepherds and can provide structure, training, and plenty of adventures. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend who’s ready to grow into an amazing companion. Send us an email If you’d like to meet this handsome guy at [email protected]
