Good info! An in home pet sitter is great for most cats. I don’t know of too many pet sitters that do overnight visits for cats though. Here in IL you do need to pay minimum wage for sleep hours in addition to the pet care. Some cats will do better with boarding so don’t discount that as an option. It’s between $40 and $45 a day here in northern IL. Typically the cats that board are either too destructive or bored when left home alone or you have one with complex medical needs. I wouldn’t recommend boarding for the shy cat as you will really terrify them by having them stay away from home.
