Just a little vet med humor for your day!

We’re fortunate that all of our lovely diagnostic machines passed their physicals and are in tip top shape for all your pets needs!

We have two blood machines called a Catalyst and Procyte machine that lets us run full bloodwork panels!

We have two urinalysis machines that let us run UAs for pets that have things like Urinary Tract Infections!

Then we have a lovely inVue machine that lets us run ear cytologies for things like ear infections!

So we have the ability to run in house diagnostics here at the clinic for your pets! ❤️🐶

🚨educational video🚨

When your pet tests positive for heartworms we run a test where we search for MICROFILARIA which are immature “baby” heartworm larvae that travels in the blood stream. We look at a blood sample under the microscope and if we see movement like in the video then we can confirm that the pet in fact has heartworms! We can then start the heartworm treatment process to cure your pet! This is why heart worm prevention is necessary every month to prevent your pet from contracting them!
