Winter weather update!

For the safety of our doctors and staff, we will be closed Saturday 1/24. Minimal staff will be here to care for the patients and boarders in hospital of course, but that is all. If you have an emergency please call the Animal Emergency Center. We are open regular hours today (until 6pm) if you need any medication refills or anything to get you through the storm. Thank you for your understanding.

This morning we had a woman come in and had us check for a micro chip in two Great Pyrenees dogs that she found. She did not leave her information with us. We now have the owners info who called us looking for their dogs. If this was you or you know how to help us get the owners in touch with her, please call the office at 918-459-9100.

Kittens! Get your kittens! We have another litter of babies available and ready for their new homes! These babies were born in the clinic and super socialized! They are so fun to watch! Their adoption fee will cover their testing,vaccines for the first year and spay or neuter. We have a sweet little male left. Please call the office for an application.

Hello everyone, meet Charles! Charles is looking for a fur-ever home. He loves to play and cuddle when you're being still and quiet. He would make an excellent companion for another cat but he'd also be pleased to have his humans all to himself! Fair warning though, he was in fact born in a barn, so he will not likely close the door behind himself. Call the office if you'd like to meet him. 9184599100. His vaccines up to 1 year and neuter will be covered with an $80 adoption fee. He has already been tested for feline leukemia and FIV as well as dewormed.

This is not one of the regular groups that we work with, but they do great work. Please help if you can.

🚨OUR DOORS ARE CLOSING 🚨

Folks, we’re in an absolute financial crisis and we have to get back to a good space financially to move forward. We are about $50,000 in debt and need about $30,000 donated to breathe again.

We normally recoup a lot of our money with adoption fees, but adoptions have been at an all time low this summer. We have tons of people apply but only 10% actually show up to adoption events 🥺

We have absolutely no space for any more animals. Everyone wants to foster a Maltese and no one is willing to take on any of our other dogs in need. We’re piling up and the situation is dire.

If you know SPACAR, you know we never want to have to make decisions for an animal based on finances - so until further notice we are completely closed for intake.

We have 37 Maltese at our office who have all required some sort of medical treatment including one being hospitalized for heart issues.

We have treated 9 puppies for parvo in the last 60 days.

We have had several ADR/failure to thrive cases that have required extensive work ups and hospitalization. Most of these were shelter partner animals that we umbrella. 💔

We have really hard working kennel techs that deserve a paycheck, our utilities are always super high this time of year, plus our veterinary supply company is cutting us off if we don’t make a $20,000 payment this week.

How can you help?

We either need several large scale sponsors or for everyone who sees this to pitch in a little.

Update: I have found my forever home!

Don't mind me, I'm just looking for my new home! My name is Poppy, I was born here at Bent Arrow. The rest of my litter already found new homes. I am very social and current on my vaccines up to this point. The rest of my vaccines and spay will be covered with my adoption fee. The fee is $150. Please call the office if you'd like to visit me!
