Recall Alert: Blue Ridge Beef Puppy and Kitten Mix

As of April 10, Blue Ridge Beef is recalling 1,080 lbs. of their 2 lb logs of Kitten Mix and 1,380 lbs of their 2 lb logs of Puppy Mix due to contamination with Salmonella and Listeria.

The products were sold in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York State, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. Terri's Surgery Update

Dear Valued Clients,

I wanted to personally update you on an important change at the salon. My shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff, labrum, and bursa is scheduled for **May 22nd**, and my recovery to full activity is expected to take 5 to 6 months.
During this time, I will be reaching out to adjust schedules to fit within Ali and Everett’s availability. We appreciate your patience as we work to accommodate everyone as smoothly as possible.

Additionally, to ensure my team gets the appropriate time off while handling an increased workload, we will **temporarily be eliminating Cat-Only Sundays starting in June** until further notice.

For clients with pets that require my personal handling, I will be reaching out to discuss a game plan to ensure their continued care.

Your support and understanding mean the world to us, and we truly appreciate your flexibility during this time. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and thank you for trusting us with your beloved pets!

Urgent Update: Terri's Shoulder Injury - Important Changes Ahead!

Dear Calypso's Family,

I hope this message finds you and your furry family members well. I wanted to take a moment to update you on an important change regarding my availability at the salon.

After an appointment on March 17th, I have unfortunately learned that my left shoulder is in far worse condition than expected. I will require surgery to repair both my rotator cuff and a torn labrum. While I do not yet have a confirmed surgery date, I want to ensure a smooth transition for all of our clients during my recovery.
Until my surgery, I will be shifting more complicated grooms to my talented employees to make sure every pet receives the highest level of care and comfort.

Once the procedure is complete, I anticipate being able to return to work at an administrative level at the 4-to-6-week mark but unable to groom for approximately 5 to 6 months as I focus on a full recovery.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. As soon as my surgery date is confirmed, I will send out an update—likely sometime next week. Please know that my team and I remain committed to providing excellent service, and I am grateful for your continued support.

Our friend Henry visits us from Connecticut when he's due for a cleanup! Proper coat care by hand-stripping is important for not only his looks but also his health. By removing dead wire coat directly from the follicle we're preventing other issues like cysts 🥰.
