Keep in mind, this is the day most puppies/dogs go missing!
The noise, the festivities, different schedules etc all create the perfect storm for dogs to run off!
Please keep these tips in mind as you celebrate today 💜
Keep your dog inside during fireworks, as the loud noises and vibrations make this the highest day for lost pets. Close all windows and blinds, set up a quiet, escape-proof space, and leave on a TV or music to drown out the booms. Ensure their microchip information and collar tags are up to date.Review these essential holiday safety measures:Prep the Safe Zone: Create a cozy, windowless space like a bathroom or closet. Provide familiar blankets and a puzzle toy or chew to distract them from the stress.
***Double-Check IDs: Check that your dog's microchip is registered and their collar tags have your current phone number.
***Skip the Fireworks: Leave your pup at home. The sights and sounds of crowded outdoor displays are a major flight risk, and parked cars pose a fatal heatstroke hazard.
Watch the Cookout: Keep pets away from hot grills, skewers, and human food scraps (like onions, xylitol, or cooked bones) which can cause severe toxicity or stomach distress.Talk to Your Vet: If your dog experiences severe anxiety, consult your veterinarian about situational medications to help them remain calm.

Soo…..we have some tentative dates for our next litter!
Vada came into heat today (we will not be breeding her this heat to allow her time to fully recover and enjoy her summer before her next litter )
BUT that means we can roughly guess that her next heat should be around January and puppies should arrive in April and adoptions would be in June! Right in time for summer! 💜
That’s ideal for schedules and potty training 👍💜😄🐶
