It has rained here every.single.day for almost 2 weeks now. Wet chickens, wet mulch, wet shavings, just wet.

It finally let up enough to put some (more) growouts outside & this dude was really feeling himself with the zoomies 🤣

He’s really gonna have a fit when I put him on the grass this weekend to clean his pen!

The gateway to lived experiences that can help others.

The gateway to solid advice and best practices.

The gateway to help your friends level up their program.

The gateway for a child to become involved with breeding.

The gateway to improve the breed by teaching others.

The gateway for a new breeder to start off on the right foot.

The gateway to teaching folks, so that they can be the gateway for someone else.

I used to think that if I gatekept everything I knew, everything I had, then I would be one step ahead.

But you see, if we all gatekeep, and we never share what we know and what we learn, we’re hurting the breed more than we’re helping ourselves.

So answer the questions, even if the answer is a simple, “no, I’m sorry I have no idea.” Help your friends without hesitation. Sell that extra little cockerel that you don’t really need to a new breeder who is passionate about improving the breed.

Our birds will be better because of it ♥️
