Dog Runner Pet Transport, LLC Dog Runner Pet Transport We are a husband and wife team that has been associated with the animal industry most of our lives. Dave started his early retirement.

In 2005 our focus changed from showing Palomino Quarter Horses to rescuing dogs when we volunteered in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. We have been driving volunteer transports for the past 2 years and have finally found our 'nitch' in the rescue dog world. We were seeing so many dogs coming out of Missouri through St. Louis and every weekend the amount of dogs grew on each transport with ma

ny more left behind. In 2010 we decided to devote our efforts to transporting dogs in need full time. After 42 year with Con Agra Mills in Alton, IL. I also retired early after working 28 years at St. Anthony's Health Center. Dog Runner Pet Transport LLC was formed in April 2011. Our goal is transporting the forgotten, homeless shelter dogs in a safe, secure, stress free environment to their forever homes.

This sweet pup Bo has had a rough start to his first few months. He was found along with his litter mates on his dead and decomposed mama along a rural Waco Texas road. The mom and pups were infested with maggots and as a result poor Bo is completely blind. Although he is not an Akita he was rescued and adopted through Akita Rescue of PA. to a family that absolutely adores him and after spending several days with him it would be so easy to do! Thank you to Carol Knight of Texas for saving this sweet soul, he was just precious :)

Too often you hear about a family member going into a nursing home or passing away and the family snatching up the dogs and sending to the pound right away. Milo and Harper were once their Dad's best buddies till he suddenly became ill and passed away. He raised 2 wonderful daughters who knew without a doubt they were still part of the family and needed to be kept together. One daughter brought them to us at our Texas pick up and the other was waiting in New York to welcome their new family members into their new home. This is the way it should be!
