Following along in our “herbs we love” series, allow us to introduce ✨slippery elm bark✨

Traditionally valued for its soothing properties, slippery elm has been used for generations to support digestive comfort and overall gut health. That's exactly why it earned a place in our Belly Buddy treats.

This herb helps in supporting recovery from gut irritation caused by dietary changes, stress, or mild digestive disturbances. A great tool to have in your back pocket, especially with the added stress of show season on our does!

Goats can experience a number of digestive issues that can cause scours, bloat, or off-feed issues. These Belly Buddy bites are designed to be used along with treatment for coccidiosis, internal parasites, or other digestive ills, in order to help soothe the digestive tract. Safe for pregnant and la...

Now that the weather is finally getting nice, our goats are spending more time outside, climbing, running, and enjoying the sunshine ☀️🐐

But this time of year also reminds us how much some of our older goats start to slow down and struggle a little more after winter. Achy Breakys help support joint comfort and mobility, especially for older goats who still want to keep up with the herd but need a little extra help getting around comfortably.

Here’s to happy goats, sunny days, and giving the oldies a little extra support 🙌🏻

Don’t tell their joints, their achy breaky joints, but these treats are on their way to make them sing with relief. This formula was created to provide support to stressed joints and help to relieve swelling and discomfort.

Now is the time when it’s the most critical for our gals to be in heavy production. We need milk to make cheeses and other products for the farmers market and farm stand, as well as well filled udders for shows.

We’ve been doing a lot of different things to keep production up, including using our Milk Money treats. The main ingredient in these treats is fennel, which several scientific studies have proven promotes milk production in cows and goats. Because we use them on our own herd, we can attest to the differnece Milk Money treats can make in addition to other good management practices 🐐

The long awaited restock…🤩!! Happy Thursday everyone🙌🏻

The long awaited restock…🤩!! Happy Thursday everyone🙌🏻

This treat is comprised of several traditional herbs used to discourage and/or kill pesky parasites from seeking residence in their host’s digestive tract and to help the body destroy parasite eggs it comes in contact with.

There’s a reason we’re thoughtful about how herbs like Wormwood are used in our Squirmy Wormy treats.

We don’t believe in overloading goats with strong herbs or using them in situations where they don’t belong. We use Squirmy Wormy treats on our pregnant does and feel confident that our balance of Wormwood does not pose a risk to pregnant does. However, we do advise using caution if you have any reservations.

Our focus is on:
✔ Balance
✔ Appropriate use
✔ Supporting goats without unnecessary risk

If you're looking for a safe way to utilize Wormwood in your herbal parasite control, using our Squirmy Wormy treats is a great way to get started.

On our farm, we treat Wormwood as a targeted tool, that is part of our herbal arsenal to keep parasites to a manageable level. This is especially important during the spring when temps are warm and hospitable to parasite blooms, does are compromised from kidding, and fresh fragile kids are on the ground

Now that our kidding season is (mostly) wrapped up, I feel like it's the perfect time to start a series I've been meaning to share, exploring the herbs we use in our treats.

The first herb we want to discuss is the true heavy hitter in our ongoing battle against parasite - 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 (Artemisia absinthium). This herb does come with some precautions, but used correctly, it is one of the most effective herbals when it comes to battling parasites.

Wormwood has traditionally been used to support the body when dealing with parasites. It contains the compounds thujone and absinthin, along with artemisinin, which help create an environment parasites don’t thrive in. They also support digestive function and work best as part of a balanced herbal blend.

⚠️ Wormwood is a strong herb.

It is generally:
• Used in small amounts
• Not intended for long-term daily feeding
• Best used as part of a formulated blend

It's use in pregnant goats is generally cautioned against, and we don't suggest using on your pregnant does without consulting an experienced herbalist to determine the risks against the benefits.
