We are sad and devastated to give this sad news. Our beloved alumni Chanel, has joined all our friends 🐾 at the rainbow bridge yesterday afternoon surrounded by her adopted family.
As many of you know Chanel had a difficult start. She was found by one of our amazing volunteers after she was hit by a car in Feb 2020. We immediately stepped in and placed her into a foster home and they cared for her. She had a broken limb and a damaged bladder. Through all her complications, and surgeries not to mention the stress she endured she got through it with lots of love and unfortunately many medications. She had a village helping her through it. We couldn’t have done it without the support we got from all her “fans”. She didn’t have it easy.
In 2021 she was adopted by Henry’s family, The Colgan’s and continued to have complications. Unfortunately with years of many medications given to help her heal, it overworked and wore out her little liver.
Two weeks ago they discovered a lump under her arm. Did bloodwork to get the ok to do another surgery but her liver enzymes were very high. While in the mist of going to a specialist they discovered she was in liver failure 😞. Her family is so devastated, they wanted more time with her. Please say a pray to help them get through this. Run free sweet Chanel, hope you know how loved you were💔🐾🌈
