ππΎ Keeping Your Pets Cool This Summer! πΎπ
As temperatures rise, it's important to help our furry family members stay safe and comfortable.
βοΈ Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
βοΈ Walk dogs during the early morning or evening hours.
βοΈ Avoid hot pavementβit can burn sensitive paw pads.
βοΈ Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes.
βοΈ Provide shade when pets are outdoors.
βοΈ Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.
Some pets, including brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs), senior pets, overweight pets, and those with medical conditions, are especially vulnerable to heat-related illness.
If your pet is showing signs of overheating, move them to a cool area, offer water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer with your pets! β€οΈπΆπ±
