The TRANSYVANIA ANIMAL WELFARE COALITION (TAWC) was formed on the sixth day of June, 2016 in Brevard, North Carolina for the purpose of uniting Animal Welfare Organizations and their Professionals to exchange ideas, resources and information while working collectively to elevate the standard of animal welfare in Transylvania County, North Carolina. TAWC is an all-volunteer organization composed of

Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue (CAAR), Transylvania Animal Alliance Group (TAAG), Friends of Transylvania Animals (FOTAS), the North Carolina Extension (Livestock), Transylvania County Animal Services (TCAS), Friends for Life Forever Farm (FFL), Transylvania County Lost Pet Search, and various retail, veterinary professionals, legal and concerned citizens working in animal welfare.
