Flashback Friday! Back to my days of breeches and a little bling!
This horse was Sonny Dee Connection AKA “Chase”. My mom, Penny Engel, picked him up at an auction because she always knew a good horse and just couldn’t pass him up. He was purchased as a “trail horse” for my dad to enjoy on weekend rides 😉- but quickly became my all around horse once we saw him move. I remember my pride when we took him to the world show and were making the finals amongst horses in full time training. With lessons and the expert guidance of Cindy Bruns, (and the help of wonderful veterinarians to stay on top of that crooked left leg!) this horse is one of the many that really showed me I was going to be a trainer, and gave me the confidence to pursue it. ❤️

Congratulations to Freya Kruger and Sophia Grossi on welcoming Whizkey Shooter AKA "Shooter" to their family! We were so excited to take Shooter to his first ranch show last week. Shooter jumped right into the ranch horse game, winning his first Junior Ranch Riding class and qualifying for the 2026 AQHA World Show! Huge Thanks to Boyle Ranch for matching us with "Shooter"!
