Our Story
Here at Ironhide Cane Corso Italiano our main focus is producing dogs with outstanding , health, stable temperaments, proper structure , and function with a versatile working ability. All of our breeding stock are AKC Canine Good Citizens, health tested on PennHip/OFA hips, OFA elbows, OFA cardiac, OFA patellar, and DM along with being temperament tested and proven either in the working field : IPO , SAR, THD , SD or in AKC , ABKC or IABCA conformation before being bred. We do not believe in breeding dogs under the age of 18 months old or closely line breeding our dogs. Our dogs are registered with the following kennel clubs AKC , ABKC, IABCA, and NKC. We do not believe in feeding our dogs kibble but whole balanced meals which mostly consist of wild caught PNW salmon and trout and fresh picked veggies and fruits. All of our dogs are loving members of our family and go everywhere the family goes our dogs are not kennel dogs and do not live their lives in kennels ! At Ironhide Cane Corso Italiano Kennels we do not believe in selling breeding rights all of our puppies are sold on strict co-ownership contracts this is for both breeding prospects and companion puppies this is done to protect our puppies, the breed as a whole and you the Client . All of our puppies are raised using puppy culture and come with first and second DHPP (5 in 1) vaccines , two sets of Bordetella ( nasal kennel cough vaccine) ,Home Again Microchip, Nemex 2 canine dewormer at age appropriate intervals , tails docked , dewclaws removed via the American standard and our preference, temperament evaluation results, AKC Star Puppy six week course ( for clients located Kitsap County Only!) kennel club registration. 26 month health guarantee that covers hip dysplasia , and elbow dysplasia grade 2 & 3 and lifetime guarantee against Canine EPI, 40% discount on all of our obedience classes and evaluations 10% discount of kennel boarding and lifetime breeder support. We do believe in proper education of our breed and do our best to educate the public and do a meet the breed educational booth every year at the Seattle Italian Festa. All of our dogs are properly trained in advanced obedience and socialized heavily and are raised with our children who are both special needs our dogs are very protective of our home and children and take their jobs very seriously. We will no longer provide limited kennel club registration for our companion puppies but AKC Purebred Alternate Listing applications for those that would still like to compete in AKC preformance and companion events.
