What is worse than being a stray?
How about a stray with horrible wounds on their head and neck?
How about a stray with horrible wounds and is FIV+/FeLV+?
And there we have Pancake.
Found as a local stray by our friends at Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley, he was way too sweet to stay outside, so they picked him up and called us.
His FeLV+ status was confirmed by IDEXX qPCR 26355, it is a regressive viral load...which means he could live a longer lifespan which is great, but, at the Sanctuary, it would have to be in a cage as we are not equipped to let him free roam.
He will be neutered this week and continue healing.
We are posting him in the hopes that there is someone out therewho wants a super floppy affectionate boy who loves belly rubs!
He can live in a home as a solo cat, with those who already are FeLV+ or those vaccinated against it. We do not believe he is fond of dogs. He is not cleared to leave tge shelter yet, but are hopeful we have a comfy spot for him to go as soon as he is.
Pancake is about 2 years old.
