Now that we are home and rested up, let's cap our 2023 GA Federation of Saddle Clubs State Horse Show!

We had two returning teams and one brand new team to join us this year and we had such a great time. The weather couldn't have been better and the fellowship sweeter!

We had a great weekend at the Georgia Paint Horse Club show down in Perry, GA!

Stella Kate Duran and Heavens Leading Lady attended their first APHA/PtHA show and walked away with several wins, the circuit for youth showmanship and the reserve high point youth Pinto division!

Kristin Tullis and Bear Your Asset were pinto high point open and amateur, circuit for equitation and had several good rides!

We are home after a great weekend of showing at the 54th annual Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs State Show! Everyone did great this weekend and we had a lot of fun.

Katie Tucker and Pure Krymsun- 2nd in walk jog pleasure 20& over
Joey Tucker and Pure Krymsun- 4th in youth gelding halter
Joey Tucker and Maker Good N Lazy- 4th in 13-19 horsemanship
Heidi Lester and Maker Good- 2nd in English Pleasure 20& over, 3rd in Adult Showmanship and 7th in ladies ranch pleasure. Mallie also won the youth mare halter earning a buckle for Kelden Smith!
Kristen Smith and Prince of Rock- 2nd in English Eq 20& over, 4th in English Pleasure 20& over
Zoe Smith and Sparkle And Clue- 7th in youth mare halter, 1st and winning the buckle in 19& under walk trot English pleasure, 6th place in 12& under walk jog pleasure
Kristin Ashley Tullis and Full Time Flirt- 4th in yearling halter
Kristin Tullis and Bear your Asset- 1st in adult showmanship (2nd year in a row), 3rd in English Pleasure 20& over, 1st in English Equitation 20& over, 1st in ladies pleasure 20& over, and 2nd in ladies horsemanship 20&over

We are home from an awesome Georgia Federation of Saddle Clubs State Horse Show in Perry, GA. The Jeff Davis team enjoyed supporting our local association all year to earn our spots to compete and we enjoyed being around so many wonderful people in the process! Our placings went like this:

Joey Tucker- had great rides this weekend on Pure Krymsun aka The Bear with a 2nd in 13-19 youth walk jog western pleasure and a 3rd in 13-19 youth walk jog horsemanship.

Barbara Arcuri showed her halter skills this weekend earning a 4th in a large gelding halter class with Bear Your Asset and then went back in the yearling/weanling halter class with My Angel Is A Pirate to win the championship title for 2019! Thank you Janna for the opportunity to show this horse, we can’t wait to see what her future holds. Angel is currently listed for sale as well!

Heidi Lester And Maker Good had beautiful rides in ladies ranch pleasure and English pleasure to earn her 6th place in each event. You two have worked so hard this year and looked amazing in your classes this weekend!

Jeff Davis And Bear Your Asset had a beautiful ride in men’s western pleasure to earn the championship title! Owen is on the market for his new show home and ready to earn titles for his new owner as well.

Kristin Ashley Tullis and Bear Your Asset had a beautiful showmanship pattern in the 20 & Over showmanship class to earn the championship title!

Kristin And Flirtin WithThe Boys had an amazing comeback show. It was their first time back in the pen since APHA world in Sept 2017 and with having only a handful of rides after weaning her filly, they earned the championship title in 20& Over English Pleasure, 4th in Ladies Horsemanship, and 5th in English Equitation.

Flirtin WithThe Boys also had her youth debut in Youth Mare Halter with Kelden Smith and ended up 2nd out of more than 25 horses!

Heidi And Kristin had great runs on Peppy earning Kristin 18th out of 50 competitors in Texas barrels and heidi 24th our of 50 competitors in arena race. This 19 year old barrel horse has done an amazing job for these ladies this year.

We are very excited with how well this team did for Georgia Mountain Association of Saddle Clubs this weekend and can’t wait to start our 2020 season in just a couple of weeks at Currahee Saddle Club!
