📸 Meet handsome Cash! 🐩💙

Cash recently had a vaccine titer panel and his results are positive ✅—meaning he still has protective immunity without needing another booster at this time.

For many pets, routine boosters are safe and important. But we can take a more tailored approach, especially for special cases like Cash. A few years ago, Cash battled an autoimmune condition where his immune system mistakenly destroyed his own platelets. Thankfully, he’s been in remission for several years 🙌, but we still want to avoid unnecessary immune system “challenges” whenever possible.

That’s where titer testing comes in. By checking antibody levels through a simple blood test, we can sometimes confirm protection against diseases like distemper and parvo without giving a routine booster. This strategy helps us balance protection from infectious disease with care for Cash’s unique health history.
