From my Dad:

"We received this email yesterday from Dudley's Internal Medicine Doctor at "Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Center".

Dr Hogan (and the amazing staff at Fetch) helped Ruth Elaine Gillespie Goldsberry and I have our "Sweet Dudley" for an additional 18 months.

Every word touched my heart, but the subject line of the email really made the tears flow."

Dudley's favorite nurse (Taylor) sent us this...He loved her SOOOO much. (and she loved him too) He could be feeling bad...

Dudley's favorite nurse (Taylor) sent us this...He loved her SOOOO much. (and she loved him too)

He could be feeling bad and we would say "You want to go see Taylor?" and his ears would go up, and he would be ready to go.

Thank you Taylor for taking such good care of our little boy.

Hey everyone...they have Facebook in Heaven. I got here a few minutes ago and immediately found my Grandpa. He was so glad to see me.

My Dad wrote the following:

Our sweet baby, Dudley Logan Goldsberry the First, went to be with Jesus around 4:30 this morning.

He passed peacefully as Ruth Elaine Gillespie Goldsberry and I held him.

We are grateful for the extra time (3 weeks) we had since his last sickness. We are grateful to all of the doctors and nurses at Fetch who have taken such good care of him.

We are just devastated...Our hearts are broken. Please keep us in your prayers.

UPDATE: Dr Hogan says everything looks good. I go for another follow-up in 4 weeks.....AND...I saw my Nurse Taylor befor...

UPDATE: Dr Hogan says everything looks good. I go for another follow-up in 4 weeks.....AND...I saw my Nurse Taylor before we left. She is just wonderful.

Well....here's the scoop....We are home.Dr Hogan thinks I have an infection, so she added Clavamox to my med regimen.Oth...

Well....here's the scoop....We are home.

Dr Hogan thinks I have an infection, so she added Clavamox to my med regimen.

Other than that, it was a long day. Since I have extensive medical training, I saw a few patients today while I was waiting, and did a few consults. They were well staffed in surgery, so I didn't need to help there. I also signed some autographs, so it was a very typical day at Fetch.

They were out of my favorite cookies (can you believe that?)....BUT I do need to say "thank you" to the kind nurse who gave me the fortune cookie out of her lunch. I might have starved had she not done that.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. My Daddy has been an absolute mess today so he needed them.

I'm here today because my Mom and Dad are a little concerned that I wasn't feeling well a couple of days ago. I feel much better now, but they are typical parents who worry. (I love them anyway, plus it gives me a chance to see my friends Dr Hogan and nurse Taylor)
