It was one of those moments that reminds us why we do what we do ... a truly magical mix of TNR and microchipping, and yes … so many happy tears were shared yesterday.

Baghera came through our TNR program. During his intake, we discovered he was microchipped, so our amazing Shelter Manager Lisa reached out to the microchip company. Shortly after, the phone rang. It was Baghera’s owner! Baghera had been missing for two and a half years! One day, someone accidentally left a door open, and he slipped away. They searched, hoped, and never gave up, but he was gone.

Until now.

Here’s where it gets even more incredible: his family lives two hours away. No one knows how Baghera ended up here, but what matters is ... he did. And thanks to TNR and that little chip, he finally was able to go home.

His human mom was overjoyed and in tears when she heard he’d been found. Yesterday, they made the drive to reunite with their sweet boy. Watching them together again … it was nothing short of beautiful.

What a journey. What a reunion. What a story. 💙🐾🐾🐾🐾❤🎉🎉🎉🎊
