Welcome to the official Manatee County Sports & Leisure Dept.'s page, featuring information about our nearly 40 parks, five dog parks and programs and events at GT Bray, Premier Sports Campus, John H. Premier Sports Campus is a multi-purpose facility that has 22 full-sized, mixed use fields for soccer, lacrosse and other amateur sports. The Lakewood Ranch Chargers soccer program is a host tenant at the facility to expand its program including tournaments and leagues.

PLAYGROUND OF THE WEEK: Country Club East🌲

This beautiful, forest-themed gem of a playground has it all — shaded play structures, safe rubber surfacing, and plenty of room to run and explore.

The peaceful setting and nearby walking trails make it a hit for both kids and parents.🛝🌳

🏊🏽Regular Physical Activity: At least 30 minutes of daily moderate-intensity activity can boost mood and improve overall health.

🔗Social Connections: Strong social connections are crucial for emotional resilience. Becoming a part of a sports league or volunteer team can provide a sense of belonging and purpose.

🧘🏽‍♂️Mindfulness and Relaxation: incorporating practices like meditation or deep breathing can help you manage stress, improve focus and emotionally regulate.

💤Adequate Sleep: High-quality sleep is necessary for emotional well-being because it helps the brain recharge and process emotions.

Governor Ron DeSantis Park is located in District 4, near Kinnan Elementary School, providing recreational opportunities for our growing community. DeSantis Park was named in honor of the 46th Governor of Florida following an online vote by Manatee County citizens.

This park is 15 acres of fun for everyone! Whether you're looking to break a sweat on the fitness trail, let the kids burn off some energy on the playground, or give your pup the time of their life at Happy Paws Dog Park, this park has you covered. This park is the perfect mix of relaxation and recreation.

Physical health is crucial for well-being and quality of life in many different ways, including reducing the risk of chronic disease, improving mental health, increasing energy levels, strengthening bones and muscles, improving sleep quality and enhancing cognitive function.

How can YOU improve your physical health in a fun way? We’re glad you asked!
⚾️ Join a Sports League: We have a number of Adult Sports Leagues available to Manatee County residents, including basketball, kickball, flag football, soccer and softball.
🏓 Try a New Hobby: Don’t want the commitment of joining a league? Look into trying a new hobby! Whether that’s pickleball, bocce ball, walking, swimming, horseshoe, jogging — whatever is new to YOU is available for you to try at our many parks!
🧘🏽‍♂️ Take a Group Fitness Class: Taking a Group Fitness Class can be a fun way to stay healthy and meet likeminded people.
