Titan is one of the coolest draft crosses I have had come through my program. He has so much presence and substance to him, yet stayed in the ideal height of 15.2hh. He is the perfect age of 6yrs old, and the most beautiful dapped grey with a long white mane and tail. But what makes him really stand out above all of that is his personality and his eagerness to please. He is as gentle as you would expect from a cross bred, safe for anyone, yet is fancy enough under saddle that he could go excel in the performance ring also. He is just an absolute joy of a horse to own.
Under saddle Titan is extremely broke and very user friendly. He rides English and western, and has recently been schooling lower level dressage. He loves to trail ride, ride through the fields, or right down the busy roads and into town. He rides the same in large groups, crowded arenas, or out and about by himself. He is very smooth and comfortable to ride, never too forward, never hot or fresh, yet he isn’t too lazy either, he is just perfect. He is soft in the face, has great body control, side passes, pivots, lopes right off on cue, rides the same on contact or slack rein, collects up or extends out, and happily lays down on cue. He rides ba****ck, bridleless, in a halter, snaffle or bridle bit. He is great with the tarp, carries the flag, drags anything behind him, is good with a bullwhip, or any other chaos you can imagine. He is quiet quiet quiet and safe for anyone to ride, yet has much more to offer for the experienced riders to enjoy as well.
This horse shines because of the quality of care and training that has gone into him. He has had the same owner since he was purchased as a 2yr old directly from his breeders in Canada. Sire is full Percheron and dam is a quarter horse. He has since then been in the same program that focusses on really well rounded, solid family horses, where he got many miles both outside and inside the arena. He was also broke to drive, mostly driven double, but has been mostly enjoyed under saddle the last couple of years so he may require a quick refresher in harness.
Titan is extremely easy to keep, and an absolute joy to have around. He has great ground manners, ties, cross ties, bathes, loads and hauls with ease, stalls well or lives out 24/7. He requires no special cares at all, and is great for the vet, farrier, chiropractor, and wins the heart of absolutely everyone he meets. This horse truly loves people and loves every bit of attention he can get. You will never have to go out and catch him……..he will come to you with an eager attitude every time he sees you. UTD on farrier, coggins, and dental. This horse is solid as an ox, never sick, never a lame step in his life, great feet, great bone, and not a blemish to be found on him. He is the kind of gelding you could send to anyone, no special instructions needed to be passed along, and he would be their barn favorite.
