Reminder to Register: May 23–24 Cow Work & Fundamentals Clinic

Join us for our upcoming Cow Work & Fundamentals Clinic on May 23rd and 24th. This two-day clinic offers a comprehensive learning experience designed to strengthen both horse and rider at every level.

Fundamentals Session
Saturday & Sunday | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This session is ideal for riders who have identified gaps in their horse’s training—or their own—and are looking to refine their foundation. We will begin with an honest evaluation of current challenges, followed by targeted groundwork exercises designed to set you up for success.

From there, riders will transition into the saddle and work directly with Jess to build confidence, translate groundwork into mounted progress, and develop skills in a clear, step-by-step approach. Emphasis will be placed on quality of gaits, including rhythm, straightness, suppleness, and lateral work, all of which are essential to a strong riding foundation.

This session is particularly beneficial for horses returning from time off, those experiencing behavioral challenges such as spookiness or separation anxiety, or for riders seeking a fresh start after a difficult experience.

Cow Work Basics Session
Saturday & Sunday | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Whether you are new to cow work or looking to improve your existing skills, this session provides a safe and supportive introduction. Jess will guide you and your horse through the fundamentals of working cattle effectively while building confidence and control.

Participants will learn how to track, rate, and position their horse to manage cattle with precision. These foundational skills translate directly to practical ranch work—such as sorting and driving—as well as competitive disciplines including cutting, roping, and reined cow horse.

Beyond cattle work, the skills developed in this session—focus, leg control, and seat awareness—will enhance your overall riding performance across all disciplines.
