Hey guys! Right now in Bozeman we are seeing A TON of dogs with kennel cough!

Kennel Cough is transmitted by dog to dog contact and respiratory droplets in the air. To limit your dog's risk of getting kennel cough, avoid dog parks, doggie day cares and boarding facilities. (Aka doggie quarantine for 2 weeks if they get it!)

Their are multiple bacteria and viruses that can cause kennel cough. Having your dog vaccinated for Bordetella (aka the kennel cough vaccine), will help prevent your dog from getting that type of kennel cough, but your dog can still get the other types.

Symptoms are dry hacking, cough that sometimes sounds like a goose honking.

The FDA recently come out with an investigation linking grain free and exotic foods to heart problems in dogs. Research shows that there is a correlation between these diets and Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM). DCM is condition in which the heart muscle becomes weakened and enlarged. As a result, the heart cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body. If your dog if on grain free food; down below are some foods that we recommend!
