The epitome of this farming season!

Lots of loss but loads of life...

The highs and lows

Our pumpkins are flourishing with beautiful color and no pests

Idk what this corn is doing nor the beans 😆 🤣

I really need more irrigation tubes for all these beds because this hose spraying didn't cut it.

These are some of the challenges I experience coming from townhouse gardening to a 25x20 sqft space I cultivated with the help of my kids and husband.

What is life without a challenge?

I'm living the life I dreamed about over almost 30 years back.

Becoming homeless on my 17th birthday, already suicidal and feeling hopeless I didn't know what my future life would be.

I know I dreamed of being surrounded with love from my kids and a husband to share intimacy and my darkest secrets with.

Living all my life without my Mom around left me feeling so empty. I had so many questions with no answers. How could I possibly know how to take care of a baby without being shown how.

My loneliness drove me to crave having someone of my own to love me unconditionally. At 18 just 12 days before my 19th birthday I birthed, by emergency cesearan, my 1st born son. Somehow someway I was equipped with caring for him but didn't fully understand I carried an emptiness inside me because I never experienced what it felt like to be nurtured.

I'm not going to go on and on about all what I didn't receive growing up because I too understand my parents had their own struggles and traumas they had to deal with on their own. At that time I didn't understand how systems in place have really destroyed the bonding and togetherness of what a family should represent.

Life has taught me so much along this journey, without access to capital or financial support from my blood family I am entirely blessed that I have the life I'm living today.

1st picture is something that we are truly missing, our family vacations. With my cancer diagnosis and injury to my shoulder and back I've lost a significant amount of income our family depended on to afford these luxuries. My husband has been the true King to our family by doing what it takes for the kids to have all their needs and some of their wants.

I miss my daycare so much but I don't trust that I'm healed enough physically to take on that type of responsibility without liability.

I pray, manifest and have faith that our creator will continue to bless our family with support to keep going.

With the help of community, my husband and his family we were able to get our son to Texas to compete as a Jr Olympian at AAU Nationals. Then to come home and celebrate our baby girl for her birthday.

Admiring the beauty on 1 side of our front yard!

My garden plans didn't come through this season but I suppose that's what comes with rebuilding from the ground up.

It's more planted like geraniums, black eyed susans, salvias, canna lily, dwarf banana plants, petunias, snapdragons, vincas and sage.

1 one sunflower is trying to hold on.

I'm excited for what the future holds here

How many of you did a serious yard makeover since Covid-19 quarantinin?

Our front yard is usually straight every year because I love flowers. I always knew I could hook up the rear yard too I just was being lazy and didn't feel like messing with it around my already stretched schedule.

We'll what do we have here 🤗

Job well done OhSo!

We added the fire pit to go inside the circle. We enjoyed many evenings out here as a family and with guests. We moved so now I'm creating our new zen spaces at home.
