This winter has been long and wicked cold, and just plain rough on everyone. Especially on short haired fur babies like Bo. Short haired dogs ( dobies, labs, bulldogs, beagles etc.) have less fur to protect the skin from drying out in winter months. One way to help combat it is to use a rubber curry brush to stimulate the skin while removing loose coat. You can also spray a few spritzes of leave in conditioner on the coat before brushing to help put moisture back in. Leave in conditioner can be found in most pet stores. Also helps give that coat a new shine in between spa days. Added bonus to using a rubber curry is your dog will think your treating them to a massage!
