🇺🇸🎆 Fourth of July Pet Safety Reminder 🐾

While we enjoy the fireworks, many of our furry friends experience fear and anxiety. A little preparation can make a big difference!

🐶 Keep pets indoors before the fireworks begin.
💊 If your pet needs prescription anxiety medication, contact your veterinarian early—don't wait until the last minute or after the office has closed.
🦴 Consider calming chews or supplements if your veterinarian recommends them.
🦺 Anxiety wraps or calming shirts can help some pets feel more secure.
🎧 Try noise-reducing ear protection made for dogs when appropriate.
🛁 If your pet chooses the bathtub, closet, or another small space as their safe place, let them stay there—they're looking for comfort.
📺 Close the blinds, turn on the TV or calming music, and stick to their normal routine as much as possible.
🏷️ Double-check that collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date, just in case.

Every pet is different, but planning ahead can help keep them safe and as comfortable as possible.

🐾 Meet Daisy: The Newest Member of The Mutt Strutt Family! 🐾
At 12 years young, Daisy clearly didn't get the memo that she's supposed to be slowing down.
This sweet girl has joined The Mutt Strutt family, and she has already stolen our hearts. Whether she's out on an adventure, soaking up attention, or flashing that big happy smile, Daisy approaches every day with the energy and spirit of a much younger pup.
But what makes Daisy truly special isn't just her youthful attitude—it's her incredible heart. She is one of the most loving dogs you'll ever meet. The kind of dog who leans in for extra pets, greets you like you've been gone for years, and reminds you just how special the bond between humans and dogs can be.
We're so excited to spend time with this beautiful girl and be part of her journey. Here's to many walks, tail wags, and happy memories ahead!

🐾 Pay-What-You-Can Pet Care For Families Affected by the Storm

My heart truly goes out to all of the families who were impacted by the tornado and severe storms yesterday, March 10th. I can’t imagine how overwhelming it must feel to navigate the damage, clean-up, and uncertainty right now. 💔

If your home or neighborhood was affected in the Kankakee / Aroma Park area, I’d like to help where I can. “Bee There” Pet Care was built on the idea of being there for pets and their people and right now feels like one of those moments that really matters.

I’m offering pay-what-you-can drop-in visits and dog walks for pets for families dealing with the aftermath. Situations like this can mean dealing with clean-up, insurance calls, repairs, or even being temporarily displaced, and sometimes pets need a little extra help during times like this. 😢

Visits can include things like:
• potty breaks
• feeding
• short walks
• playtime or snuggles
• checking in on pets while you handle everything else

Because I do have an existing roster of clients, this will be based on availability, but if I have room in my schedule I absolutely want to help however I can.

If you or someone you know in the KANKAKEE / AROMA PARK area could use a hand with their pets right now, please send me a message and we’ll see what we can make work.

🤝 LOCAL PET SITTERS: If you’d like to collaborate on this and help support families in the area, please reach out. I’d be happy to add your name to this post as an additional contact so we can help as many pets and families as possible.

I would especially love to connect with pet sitters who are more local to the LAKE VILLAGE, INDIANA disaster path, since the tornado also went through that area. If you’re nearby and able to help, please reach out and I’ll gladly add you to the list so people closer to you can access your services.

I love hanging out with this queen!!! Ms. Tara! I love dropping in on you, you came a long way from day 1 of shaking and hiding under the deck to now while I'm getting your food and water together you lean into me in the kitchen!
