Yes! We are -and have always been - PACFA licensed!
Good Day, Friends,
Yesterday was a big day for animals in Colorado, as Governor Jared Polis signed bills reauthorizing Colorado’s celebrated pet protection program–PACFA–and launching a new license plate that will fund Wild Horse conservation into the future. 🐶🐾
PACFA plays a critical role in keeping companion animals safe by requiring pet animal facilities across Colorado–including animal shelters and rescues, boarding and training facilities, and groomers–to meet important standards and maintain licensing through the Colorado Department of Agriculture. This bipartisan legislation ensures these important protections remain in place while strengthening Colorado’s ability to safeguard animal welfare for years to come.
At its heart is the simple but transformational recognition that, when animals thrive, people thrive. It’s about creating safe, compassionate communities that actively prioritize wellbeing over neglect and mistreatment. This tenet is foundational to our collective identity as Coloradans.
Together, we are creating a Colorado for All for people and animals alike.
