We've been watching all the work at Twin Lakes for a while and it looks like the work will be done next week. The "formal entry ways" should still provide access to the lake once the work is done.

TRAIL CLOSURE ALERT: Starting Dec. 8, the West Lake at Twin Lakes will be closed Monday through Thursday for a maintenance project. The East Lake will remain open. boco.org/twinlakes

The plans for CU South is a huge issue in Boulder at the moment. As the area is not "Open Space" FIDOS is keeping an eye on the progress rather than getting involved in what is a complex issue. However, just from the visitors and their dogs perspective (its not a Voice and Sight area) the link below discusses the subject in a few succinct lines. FIY: New law in Germany impacting dogs and their owners. Dogs must be walked twice a day under new rule:

"Pets are not cuddly toys," German Agricultural Minister Julia Klöckner said. The new rules, if passed, would also limit the number of dogs owned by breeders and introduce maximum temperature for pets' living quarters.

Reported today in the Camera, we'll be keeping an eye on the restriction to make sure it doesn't stay in place too long.
