Farfel's was honored to adopt Bandit out to the Bennett family. It makes our hearts sing to see her adorable face representing her dad Michael for governor. Good job Bandit, you're the cutest rep ever!!

ZIGGY STILL NEEDS A FOSTER. Someone with experience with leash-reactivity would be great, and someone with a yard is a must. He is a sweet, sweet boy.

Sage is a 9 year old, purebred Dachshund with a story that we won’t soon forget. He was abandoned at a veterinary clinic in New Mexico, and from there brought to a shelter where his future was uncertain. When we learned about him, we knew we had to step in.

We are Farfel’s Farm & Rescue, a very small, foster based dog rescue in Boulder, Colorado. We are run by just two employees, and unlike larger shelters, we do not receive government funding and rarely receive donations. We take on dogs like Sage because they need someone to say yes, even when the medical or financial unknowns are big.

Sage is blind and has a very significant heart murmur, graded at a 5 to 6. We went into this rescue knowing that his time with us might be shorter than most. But what we didn’t expect was just how much life this little dog would bring with him.

Sage is pure joy. He is playful, goofy, and completely obsessed with toys. He doesn’t let his blindness slow him down for a second, and he approaches every day with excitement and curiosity. He is the kind of dog who reminds you to live fully, no matter the circumstances.

Right now, we need your help to give Sage the care he deserves.

In order to properly understand his heart condition and make sure we are doing everything we can for him, Sage needs an echocardiogram. This test will allow our veterinary team to evaluate his heart and determine the best plan for treatment, medications, and ongoing care so he can stay happy and comfortable for as long as possible.

The cost of the echocardiogram is just under $800, and that is our fundraising goal.

Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Sage’s medical care. If you are not able to donate, sharing his story means the world to us.

Sage may not have had the best start, but we are committed to making the rest of his life as full of love, comfort, and joy as possible.

*URGENT**FOSTER NEEDED FOR SWEET SAM*
Every day for the past month, we have received a foster report card for our little guy Sam. They are always packed with adorable photos of this handsome cutie, and honestly, it makes it nearly impossible to narrow down his adoption page when we only have room for 6! You might notice he has a new profile picture every other day.

Sam is even smaller than he looks in photos. At 6 years old and 18 lbs, potty trained, and having previously lived with a family for 5 years, he is just the sweetest, most reliable little guy. But as the days have gone by, one thing has changed... Sam is getting sad at daycare. He never has any trouble finding doggie playmates and gets along beautifully with everyone, but what he really wants is to be curled up next to his person on the couch.

if that might be you!), we urgently need a foster home for him right now. Daycare was never supposed to be a long term situation, and we truly cannot believe this sweet little guy has not been scooped up yet. He would make such an easy and lovable member of any household, with our only stipulation being that he isn't left outside in a yard unattended as he might try to escape since he wants to be where the loving people are.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! TicTac needs a foster starting 4/30!!!!! He is potty trained, snuggly, and sweet!!! He does well with other dogs (was in a foster home with another dog previously). He would prefer a female foster, as he’s not a huge fan of men, but in his previous foster home he warmed up to the man in the home after a day! He just barks at strange men but is fine once he gets to know them!

‼️Foster needed for Ziggy‼️

Ziggy is a 5 year old, 30lb mixed breed (maybe Rat Terrier/Cattle Dog mix?) who is looking for a very specific foster home where he can feel safe and succeed.

In the home, Ziggy is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and a total love bug. He’s potty trained, doesn’t destroy anything when left alone (does bark and cry though so no apartments!) and has lived with other dogs before (his best friend in his Texas foster home was a small puppy!).

Ziggy is leash reactive though, which means neighborhood walks are not the right fit for him right now. When he’s on leash and approached by dogs or people, he gets overwhelmed and reacts or barks.

Because of this, Ziggy needs a foster home with a private, fully fenced yard where he can go to the bathroom and get exercise without going on walks.

Luckily, he only has this reaction when on a leash. Never inside the home, where he is safe and loves his people.

Ziggy is blind in just one eye, which doesn’t impact his day-to-day life much, but he can get startled if approached quickly on that side.

We are looking for a dog-savvy, experienced foster who understands leash reactivity and has a yard. He is NOT a difficult dog in the home, he just needs the right environment.

We also need a foster who is reliable, not planning summer travel, and able to commit for as long as it takes to find Ziggy the right home (this could be a few months).

Ziggy is such a loving, special dog, and with the right setup, he will absolutely thrive.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR PERFECT BONDED PAIR 🚨

Jake & Finn are 2 sweet little chihuahuas looking for a loving foster home starting 4/22. 💕

🐾 Jake – Tan, 3 years old, 15 lbs
🐾 Finn – Gray, 3 years old, 7 lbs

These adorable boys are a bonded pair, so they must stay together. These boys are friendly, cuddly, and silly. They’re also *potty trained* and do great with other dogs and cats!

Jake & Finn’s world was turned upside down when their home in New Mexico tragically burned down. Thankfully, everyone survived, but their owners lost everything and had to surrender them. When we rescued the boys from the shelter, they still smelled like smoke. 💔 After arriving in Colorado last week, they’ve been doing wonderfully and are ready for their next safe haven.

Their current foster is leaving town on 4/22, so we urgently need a new foster who can care for them until they’re adopted. The length of stay is unknown, but it’s typically no longer than a month.

Freddie just arrived to Farfel’s Rescue in Boulder and is looking for his forever home! Freddie is a Pug? Frenchie? Frug? French-Pug?? We’re not totally sure, but he is stinking ADORABLE!!! Freddie is 24 lbs and 2 years old. He’s got a very happy, goofy, social, puppy-like personality and does wonderful with other dogs as well! Freddie was found as a stray in New Mexico with scars on his neck that clearly show he was chained up by the neck at some point in his life. Now that’s all behind him and he’s safe in a warm foster home until he finds his forever home who will never chain him up outside ever again! He broke free from that life and is thriving.
