Today I showed my coach this photo from our time spent working with dogs and their families in San Francisco (2007-2015)

It so perfectly encapsulates the concept of a "Dream Dog"; seeing your dog galloping toward you with a huge, goofy grin on their face, tongue flapping, staring into your eyes, ecstatic to just be in this moment with you and enjoying your world together ... is EVERYTHING!

It's why we have spent every day helping dogs and their humans live better lives together for nearly 20 (!) years now.

We want everyone who calls a dog their best friend to feel what we've been lucky enough to feel in these moments of pure joy with dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds, New York and Minnesota to California and Colorado.

Moments like these are everything! 💞

4 Emotional Extremes that dogs display:

Fight - pushy, rude, “too much” during play, aggressive

Flight - runs away, leaves, ducks away or avoids situations

Freeze - dissociates, gets very still, “nobody is home”

Fawn - overexcited greetings or very submissive behavior

Goal is always to support your dog to move toward the green or yellow-green center of the diamond, away from the orange and red extremes, which indicate they are above their current emotional threshold and no longer have the ability to regulate their emotions appropriately.
