He is playful, people-loving, and the kind of dog who will have you laughing at his goofy antics on a daily basis. He does great with other dogs and brings an easy, lighthearted energy to every room he walks into. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and in great health — ready in every way for the home he deserves.

Gollum's future family can expect a loyal, entertaining, and affectionate companion who is simply looking for a comfy bed and people to call his own. Meet Scheppy, a one-year-old, 85-pound sweetheart who was surrendered back to rescue simply because someone underestimated his energy.

Since coming back, Scheppy has been thriving with regular exercise, playtime, and training, and the progress he has made is nothing short of impressive. He is housebroken, crate trained, already knows sit and shake, is bell trained, and has even recently taken swim lessons and discovered he loves the pool. He plays appropriately with other dogs, shares his toys generously, and has a deep and serious love for the ball that rivals just about anything else in his world.

Scheppy's future family can expect a fun-loving, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion who is equal parts athlete and cuddle bug. He is still working on loose leash walking and recall, so a family committed to continuing his training will help him reach his full potential. He gives love as enthusiastically as he seeks it, and for an active family looking for a loyal, playful, big-hearted best friend, Scheppy is absolutely the guy.
