Heavy post incoming:
I took this photo of Jack a few months back, after we enjoyed a little walk and he got to race back to our apt afterwards. He was always so happy to go for little adventures, always thrilled to just be a part of our pack, getting cuddles and snacks. He is the best and sweetest boy. Watching him slow down, and struggle more and more has been absolutely heartbreaking and it is with an extremely heavy heart that and I have decided to help him along to the next step of his journey, before his health challenges make things too much worse.
We will always love our little man, and will cherish our final days with him before he crosses over the rainbow bridge. Love your pets with your whole heart, as they love us. Dogs have taught me so much over the years, and I am so grateful for little man Jack, who helped Jessica and I find love in each other. Jessica and I will be getting married in about a year, but we will be without our best man, Jack, who helped bring us together and showed us so much love over the years.
If I randomly break down in tears while picking up or dropping off dogs this week, know that I am ok, just need all the extra dog love I can get. Extra cuddles for all my friends this week.
