This sweet, original-looking boy is full of personality, love, and playfulness. He’s deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from doing anything other pups can do from chasing balls to cuddling up for belly rubs 🥰

At just 1 year old, Bowie is a fast learner, eager to please, and absolutely adores being around people and other dogs. He’s currently living with a calm senior Staffy and would thrive in a home with another friendly pup 🐾

Meet Droop Silenced by Fear, Waiting for a Chance

She doesn’t bark. She doesn’t beg. She just curls up in the back of her kennel… trembling.

Droop is a 5-year-old, 47 lb girl who’s completely shut down in the shelter. She flinches at sounds, pancakes to the floor, and shies from touch. Whatever her past was, it broke her spirit but not entirely.

She still takes treats. She still allows a leash. Deep down, she wants to trust again.

This sweet old lady was found wandering alone in Slidell with her harness and leash still on — but heartbreakingly, no one was with her 💔

She was turned in to the Slidell Humane Society, and while we discovered she was adopted out about 3 years ago, her microchip was never updated with her new family’s info.

Someone out there is missing her — or knows who is.

Meet Whisper — the Little One Who Sees with Her Heart ❤️🐶

In the quiet corners of a rural pound, hidden away from the noise of the world, a tiny soul waits. Her name is Whisper — a deaf and mostly blind puppy who’s learning to navigate the world not with her eyes or ears, but with her heart.

This little girl has already shown more courage than most of us will ever know. Born into silence and shadows, Whisper’s world is a place of sensations, gentle vibrations, warm cuddles, and the safety of touch. She leans into affection with every fiber of her being — because for Whisper, love is her language.

She’s a female mixed breed, just a baby, and though the odds were stacked against her, she’s already vaccinated, treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed, and microchipped. She had her first vet visit at Eatons Hill Veterinary Surgery, and thanks to the kind hands there, she is safe for now — but her time is running out.

💔 Whisper is not safe yet. She’s currently in a rural pound (Inland QLD), and she urgently needs an experienced rescue or carer who understands special needs pups.

We’re desperately looking for:
• A rescue willing to step in and give her the gentle, patient home she deserves.
• Pledges to help fund her care, transport, and ongoing medical needs.
• A forever home, anywhere in the world, ready to welcome a special-needs pup with open arms and an open heart.

Her needs are simple: constant reassurance, warm arms, a safe space, and unconditional love. Whisper doesn’t see the world as we do — but she feels everything. She’ll feel your heartbeat. She’ll know when you’re near. And in return, she’ll love you in a way only the most vulnerable creatures can.

Our Raekwon is desperate to leave the shelter...
He can't stand boxing anymore.. 💔

Raekwon is a 2nd category Rottweiler, born in 2020 and arrived at the shelter due to a requirement. (Bad living conditions)

Raekwon is a dog with a lot of strength!
He weighs more than 50 pounds.
He's playful and affectionate. He's also a great foodie!
He knows the basics.

He's a very good goalkeeper, don't be proud of his behavior behind bars. We need to be vigilant with strangers and people outside the home.
Knowledge of the breed would be ideal.

We will avoid placement with young children.
He gets along with females.

Raekwon being subject to category 2 dog legislation, he will have to be adopted:

- possess the aptitude certification for category 1 and 2 dogs
- be assured
- provide an excerpt of the criminal record
- mandatory wearing of the muzzle
- statement at the town hall to obtain the detention permit
