Trying to get better about posting… C**t starting is officially underway here at Diamond Plate.

🎸First up is Kid Rock, a 3 year old gelding that we’ve had since a yearling!! Excited to take everyone along with us as we start getting c**t’s under saddle this spring.

Searching for a new pasture at weaning✨

Sired by Through the Pines Walking Horses’s Little John Lester and out of A Flashy Jewel, a direct daughter of Walk Time Charlie, this filly is what dreams are made of. Pictured at only 3 days old, this filly is all legs and already is SO sweet. She will leave her mom to come and say hey to us!!

On top of the perfect hooked ears and looks, she is very nicely gaited and will have a nice lope once she figures out those long legs.

I retained her 2024 full sister (pictured below) who is her twin in every way and so this filly will be available to a new home at weaning!!

If you’ve always wanted a Little John filly or you’re looking for a show, trail or broodmare prospect, this little girl is no doubt it. 💗

We were blessed with a huge filly early this morning before the storm and she’s perfect!! I cannot wait to see her unfold those long legs. Momma and baby are doing great, more pictures to come when she gets dried out.

Quail season may be over and spring is here, but that doesn’t mean your horses should sit and lose the condition they worked so hard to build.

Keeping them in regular work during the off-season helps maintain fitness and makes the transition back into hunting season much easier.

🌸Spring also means c**t starting season. If you have a young horse that’s ready to get started under saddle, now is the perfect time to get them going the right way.

Send me a message if you’d like to get your c**t started the right way that will set them up for success or if you have a horse needing a tune-up, conditioning, or problem solving.

Happy Wedding Day to this beautiful couple!!! I had the absolute honor of being apart of Callie’s huge surprise/gift to Kolten. Callie called me back in April and told me she wanted to buy a c**t for Kolten since his horse had passed away. So, the day Fuego was born, I called her and she came to the barn, immediately saying she wanted him! Since then we have told Kolten that he was a keeper c**t and I wasn’t going to sell him… little did he know he was actually his this whole time.

Lots of planning, lots of secret keeping, but this morning Callie finally got to surprise Kolten and show him Fuego who is registered as “Whiteout’s Last Dance” to honor his horse that passed and their wedding day. What a morning this was and what an honor it was to be able to be a part of this!! This is what raising these foals are all about!! 💗

“A Flashy Jewel” (Ruby), being turned out today with “Little John Lester” in hopes that she will be bred back for a 2026 foal. Her 2024 filly, “Lester’s Amazing Grace” has turned out to be everything dreams are made of so we are hopefully this pair will produce another just like her!!! 🤞
