Borger Animal Services, in coordination with the Borger Police Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual shown in this photo.

On May 3, 2026, at approximately 3:28 p.m., an individual in a red vehicle pulled up to the Borger Animal Shelter and left a dog inside the fenced area in front of the building. This matter is being reviewed as a possible animal abandonment incident.

Anyone with information regarding this individual or the incident is asked to contact Borger Animal Services at (806) 273-0973 or the Borger Police Department at (806) 273-0930.

On 02/26/2025 at approximately 19:33 hours a male in a red vehicle pulled up to the animal shelter and abandoned 2 dogs in a wire cage by the front door. Borger Animal Services in conjunction with Borger Police Department are seeking to identify the person in the video. Each dog that is administered a parvo/distemper vaccine and/or a microchip by Borger Animal Services will automatically be entered into a drawing. There will be 2 winners drawn at the conclusion of the pool pawty event on July 28th. The drawing will be for 1 (one) $55.25 gift certificate to use towards the price of one grooming for one dog and 5 (five) - gift certificates to use towards the cost of daycare for one dog.

The prizes for this drawing have been graciously donated by Diamond D Kennels.
