Why do venues, vendors, and friends/family LOVE when you hire a wedding pet attendant? 🐾🤔

Our pets are our babies so of course they should be a part of our wedding day! However, figuring out the logistics of this process can be stressful and very overwhelming not only to the couple but also to vendors involved in the planning process and friends/family if asked if they can help with the pets the day of.

So what exactly do we do as wedding pet attendants??

1. Connect with our couples to see how they envision their fur baby being involved in their big day!

2. Figure out wedding venues pet policy and even contact with “non-pet friendly” venues to see if something can be worked out.

3. Set up a detailed phone consultation or an in person meet and greet to get all the information collected that we need to know about your wedding day and pup!

4. We will connect with your wedding vendors, such as wedding planner and photographer to make sure your wedding day and having your pet present runs as smooth as possible.

5. We will provide ALL transportation needed for your pet the day of the wedding. Our transportation method is something we are extremely proud of since we transport in our fully converted van and all pets are crated in crash tested Impact crates for optimal safety! We can arrange pick up from anywhere our couples chose!

6. Once we arrive on-site we will provide water and potty breaks, treats, love, attention, and all the handling so your guests don’t have to.

7. We are head tilt masters and will assist in getting your pet pawfect for pictures! We work along side your photographer to get those flawless shots.

8. If your pet is going to be a part of the ceremony we will coordinate the best plan for them.

9. Once the festivities with the pet are over we will provide any after care needed such as feeding or walking them.

Chelsea and Joel we love you guys to death and we were not going to let Fin and Charlie miss your big day! So thankful for our transport team the day of the wedding so we could stay and party post wedding pictures. It is a very very rare occurrence we actually attend the wedding we are working so it was the best day celebrating the love of these two 🥂

Pictures are a moment in time that capture priceless memories. These wedding pictures are extra special since they capture Dolce this couples sweet husky who unfortunately passed away. Chelsea and Matt are such loving owners who included all three of their fur babies in their wedding pictures and now have these amazing memories to look back on of their sweet girl. I am a strong believer in taking as many pictures as possible since you never know what life will bring. I am so happy we were able to help them get these priceless memories of their Dolce 💕🐾

The most magical winter wonderland wedding ❄️💍

When it started to snow on our drive to the venue yesterday we hoped that the couple would be as excited as us, but not everyone is down to freeze in their wedding outfits. When we found out that Natal and Mangie tried so hard to have an engagement session in the snow we could have cried how happy we were that they got their snowy wedding day.
The pups Lala, Jojo, and Lola did not appreciate the cold as much as us but the pictures are pure magic!!!

This family braved it all to get their fur babies Dash, Daisy, and Buddy in some wedding pictures. Luckily their amazing wedding venue which is not “dog friendly” inside allowed them to come in for a few pictures before heading home. We are so thankful that we were able to relocate and get these pictures despite what the weather had in store for us! No matter what curve ball a wedding day throws us we are always able to adjust our plan to make our couples day perfect 🐾💙

We are hiring!!! 🐾

Smile ‘N’ Wag has been rapidly growing these past two years and we have made the decision to add on 1-2 more employees to our team! With us hoping to start a family in the very near future we need some wonderful animal loving people to take over some weddings for us and to assist on multiple pet weddings.

This will be an as needed position and we can not guarantee work every week or even every month but we will reach out months in advance so it is super flexible around other work schedules.

If you love dogs, and love weddings and are interested please send an email to [email protected] or DM us directly on Instagram. There are a few requirements before reaching out that I will list below.

🐾 Must have experience with dogs of all sizes. (Vet techs, Trainers, kennel or doggie daycare employees, and dog walkers preferred but not required)

🐾 Must have a clean driving record and comfortable driving our van long distances.

🐾 Must have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability (sometimes Thursdays) Would be as needed so you would be able to turn down a job if you had prior commitments on a weekend.

🐾 Must be willing to travel to Chesterfield NJ to pick up our van for a job

We are so excited to be taking this leap, and to expand this company that we hold so close to our hearts💙

Story time 🐾

Christina is my hair dresser and is doing my hair on my wedding day in two weeks! About two years ago now I was sitting in her chair talking about her wedding day, she was talking about how she wanted her sweet Nutmeg to be her flower girl but with her wedding venue being an hour away none of her friends and family could do it. That’s when the idea that I had been sitting on for a few years finally became a reality that “Yes, people would use this service”

We thought her wedding could be the test run for Smile ‘N’ Wag, but two weeks later our company was up and running! Two years later and her wedding day is finally here, and it is definitely not a test run with more than 35 weddings this year alone already worked. We could not be more thankful for our couples trusting us and allowing us to grow this company in to what it is today.

Today is super special and the wedding that started this all! Christina and Chris we are so excited for your big day and to bring Nutmeg to be a part of it🤍

Age is just a number here at Smile ‘N’ Wag, our senior pets deserve to be a part of our special day just as much as young ones and puppies.

Prince is 16 years old and our bride Emily’s “little brother”, it was truly so special for him to be a part of her day. There was debate over if he should attend or not but the memories and pictures that are taken will never be a regret looking back in the years to come.

We will push the stroller

We will take a slower walk

We will give extra breaks in our van

We will taken them on extra potty break

We will be gentle, patient, and kind

We love your seniors just as much as puppies and they should always be included in your day 💙

You fill our lives with so much love and laughter, we made the best decision bringing you home. You may be an absolute wild women but, you are starting to learn that not all people want to be “attacked” with love and kisses, but we still love you more than anything! When clients say they have a crazy dog we might not be able to handle we should start showing them videos of our wild child to prove otherwise😂
