Meet Cassidy!

If you're looking for a dog who's always ready for the next adventure, Cassidy is your girl. This sweet, active pup loves fetch, walks, hikes, and just about anything that gets her moving. She's especially fond of other dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp around with, but she's also happy to play with her humans and make new friends at the dog park.

Cassidy is both house trained and crate trained, and after a day of fun she's more than happy to relax by your side. If your idea of a good time includes fresh air, tennis balls, and a happy dog wagging along beside you, Cassidy is ready to join the team! 🐾❤️

Don't forget about our vaccine clinic on June 11th from 4:30–6:30 PM!

We will be offering:
🐾 FREE DHPP vaccines for dogs
🐾 FREE FVRCP vaccines for cats
🐾 $5 microchips
🐾 $5 nail trims
Services are available while supplies last.

Please note: Rabies vaccines and city licenses will NOT be available at this clinic.

We will also be kicking off our Pet Food Pantry for families who need a little extra support. If assistance is needed, please complete the application on the flyer.

**Please note there will be a rain date if severe weather is predicted, keep an eye on our page for updates!**

Sometimes, happy endings don't look the way you think they might.

Sometimes endings are bittersweet, and yet still as impactful to us as every win.

Dust Bunny showed up as a stray at someone's home, and despite their efforts no owner was found. Their dogs would not allow them to keep her, and so she came to us just last week.

Upon arrival it was clear she was very, very old. At minimum, we believe she was 16-17 years old due to an old, untraceable microchip we know was placed in 2010. Since we don't know how old she was when it was placed, she may have been older than that.

Her foster took her home, settled her in, and quickly fell in love. They made appointments with our vet for a full workup, got her many comfy places to sleep, and loved on her fiercely, making up for all the time she wandered alone. She took to it, soaked it up, rested, and enjoyed life in her new home. Everyone knew she had found her forever home with her fosters.

Unfortunately, she passed away this past weekend, peacefully in her sleep.

While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, everyone wanted more time with her, we are grateful. We believe Dust Bunny had held on so she could know she was home, and she did.

She found her home, and now she can rest.

Some endings are bittersweet, but nevertheless often the most meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who helped her get here and her foster home for helping her know love. ❤
