Dr. Tyler Floyd has been a wonderful team member here at Booneville Vet Med Center for the last few years. Our practice, clients, and patients have been blessed to have him as veterinarian.
Dr. Floyd is leaving BVMC to carry on his practice of veterinary medicine by opening a new practice with his wife Abbey. We will miss him here, but we fully support this new endeavor and wish them the very best! We know they will have enormous success as they continue to practice high quality veterinary medicine.
We would like our clients to know that Dr. Jason and Dr. Clay will continue to meet your needs to the best of their ability. We know they will be extra busy during this transition keeping up with the growth that our practice has experienced during the time Dr. Floyd has been here. In order to help us be as efficient as possible in serving our community, we kindly ask that you schedule appointments for your pets needs. We know that urgent care needs can come on quickly, but please understand that there may be an extended wait time for “walk-ins”.
We ask that clients with large animal patients be understanding and prepared with alternative options for veterinary care as we may not be able to see your animal in an urgent care situation.
We will certainly miss Dr. Floyd at Booneville Veterinary Medical Center, but we are very confident that Dr . Jason, Dr. Clay and the rest of our outstanding team will be able to continue caring for your pets with the highest quality of veterinary care as we have for the last 30 years.

Thrasher Junior Bella Beasley recently had the opportunity to job shadow at Booneville Veterinary Clinic while exploring her interest in becoming a veterinary technician. During her visit, Bella was able to observe several procedures, including a hysterectomy and dental surgery, along with other aspects of daily veterinary care.

Bella said the experience was awesome and gave her a great look into what working in a veterinary clinic is really like. Experiences like this help students better understand potential career paths and the skills needed to succeed in them.

We are very thankful to Booneville Veterinary Clinic for opening their doors and allowing our students the opportunity to learn through real-world experiences. 🐾

PCSD Familiy,

The recent ice storm caused widespread power outages, water issues, and property damage across our county. Many of our students, staff, and families remain without power and continue to be impacted.

Several of our campuses are still experiencing power and water issues, and repairs are ongoing. After inspecting our roads across the county and consulting with utility providers, we have determined that some roads remain unsafe for bus travel due to downed or low-hanging power lines and utility cables. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.

Because of all of these ongoing concerns, the following is a tentative plan for the return of students. We will continue to closely monitor conditions and provide updates regarding our reopening plan. Please be aware that this plan is subject to change as conditions continue to evolve.

Monday, February 2: No sudents and No staff
Tuesday, February 3: No students, Staff reports for professional development
Wednesday, February 4: Tenative return for both students and staff

Please note that this schedule is subject to change depending on the current conditions.

Meals will be available at Hills Chapel School, Marietta Elementary School, Thrasher Attendance Center, and Wheeler Attendance Center on Monday, February 2 and Tuesday, February 3 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Booneville Vet Med will return to regular office hours on Friday, January 30th 🙌
We are covering our community in prayers during this trying time. We hope that everyone is safe and able to stay warm. Please remember to especially keep all the lineman and their families in your prayers as well. We are so incredibly thankful for them and the sacrifices they are making for all of us!
