37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti was identified as the person fatally shot by officers from the Department of Homeland Security in south Minneapolis on Saturday. Family members say Pretti worked at the VA hospital as an intensive care nurse and cared deeply about people. Officials described him as armed and resisting attempts to disarm him, but city leaders and residents are condemning the shooting amid heightened tensions over immigration enforcement actions in the city.

I truly miss all the puppies. We had the pleasure of watching them be born. We found great people to carry each one through their life journey.
Once COVID happened- Kelly and I decided to to take a long break. Too many people were breeding dogs due to more time at home.
I never saw a standard poodle in the pound or needing rehomed as much as I did the past few years 😞
We have one male from our original line.
There are times we want to get a puppy with him to carry on our line. We will see as most of our dogs are getting old.

I am saddened by the loss of our Missy girl. She was 13.5 yo with breast CA. She was a legacy to our long line of beautiful puppies. Her mom Alex was first in the line to have pups and then Missy followed with her litters. Our most recent litter was from Bella- Missy’s daughter. It was so wonderful having our puppies. I use to believe the breed was unique. Since so many are breeding today- poodles, doodles etc. Kelly and I felt it was best to DC our breeding program as there are too many pups out there without good homes.
