- **Training:** Potty and crate trained. While she has basic obedience training, she may still need some guidance with commands like “stay” and “lay down.”
- **Behavior:** Lola is an energetic girl who loves to play but also enjoys relaxing. She responds to a beep/shock collar for recalls and corrections, helping manage her reactivity.

🚨 URGENT — HOME NEEDED BY SATURDAY 🚨

Fluffy is a 1-year-old female guinea pig who urgently needs a loving, safe forever home. 💔

She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, quiet, and loves to snuggle. She’s been so patient despite living in a busy home that’s not ideal for her needs. Sadly, due to a young child’s allergies and high energy it’s hard for Fluffy to get the calm, consistent attention she deserves. We’ve exhausted every option — friends, family, rescues, shelters, farms — but haven’t found a match yet.

We are leaving town Saturday morning, and we are desperate to find a safe, loving person or family who can give Fluffy the peaceful, happy life she deserves. She will come with everything — her cage, fresh hay, pellets, liners, and supplies — ready to move right in.

🐾 Meet Nevaeh and Gio! 🐾

🌟 Nevaeh: A sweet 44lb American Bully puppy who will turn 1 this July. She’s a gentle soul who’s great with other dogs, though she can be a bit of a bully to the shy ones.

🌟 Gio: Our spunky 22lb Boston Terrier, about 2 years old. He’s playful and assertive, especially around larger male dogs, but he loves making new friends!

Both are up-to-date on their medical health and have no issues. We’re looking for loving homes where they can thrive individually.

This male Northern Cardinal was yet another victim of a glue trap.

Unfortunately, this bird was on the trap for quite some time before coming into care. Despite being removed with sedation and being placed in an ICU enclosure with supplemental oxygen to recover, he passed away overnight.

Glue traps do NOT discriminate! While many people put down glue traps for insects and rodents, we find that they catch those species and MUCH more, including birds like this cardinal, bats, lizards, snakes, and even larger animals like raccoons and owls!

These traps do not "magically" get rid of any nuisance wildlife that you may want out of your home or yard, but instead slowly kill them over hours or days, typically causing death through dehydration or capture myopathey as the animals suffer ripped out feathers, torn skin and scales, and broken bones in an attempt to free themselves.

In the case of this cardinal, we suspect the amount of effort expended and stress endured in attempts to escape caused exertional rhabdomyolysis, a.k.a. capture myopathy. The extreme muscular exertion in these life or death situations causes breakdown of the muscle fibers and release of potassium and myoglobin, which often has deadly consequences. This is not a pleasant way to die for intended nor unintended targets.

YOU can help prevent this by 1. not buying glue traps, 2. educating others to avoid glue traps by sharing posts like this 3. reaching out to your representatives in Congress and encouraging them to reintroduce and support the Glue Trap Prohibition Act, which would prohibit the sale of glue traps.

Glue traps do NOT stop nuisance wildlife from entering your home - they're a band-aid solution that leaves you reliant on buying more of them since it doesn't solve the actual problem (that your home is not secure). Sealing up entryways and keeping food stored in sealed containers, plus utilizing humane exclusion techniques, are all LONG term solutions that prevent nuisance wildlife from entering in the future, ultimately saving you time and money.

🌈💔 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Sampson, the senior Pomeranian who touched so many lives in the past year. Rescued from heartbreaking circumstances, Sampson experienced love, comfort, and joy that he deserved all along.

In his time with us, he enjoyed cozy, clean beds, regular grooming sessions, healthy meals, and a big backyard to play in. He made new friends and showed us all the true meaning of resilience and love. 🐾❤️

Thank you to everyone who supported us in providing Sampson the medical care and rehabilitation he needed. Your kindness has made a difference in the lives of so many voiceless animals.
