I’m decent on a leash, LOVE other dogs, and people are always my friends! I am nearly potty trained and just need a set schedule. The shelter isn’t a place for a puppy to grow up in 😣

Step up to the plate and meet our newest all-star lineup of Lab mix puppies — Smalls, Wendy, Squints, and Benny! ⚾️🐶

These sweet, playful pups are already stealing hearts and chasing dreams. They may be small now, but they’ve got big personalities and even bigger cuddles to give. They are 6 weeks old but can be preadopted in the meantime!

DOG OF THE WEEK 🐶

Hi, I’m Sissie! I’m a 5 year old Boxer/Australian Shepherd mix. I’ve got quite the sassiness of both a Boxer and Aussie, and boy do I give some looks! 🫣 I’m potty-trained if I’m kept on a good schedule and don’t mind the crate either (although I can be left out and I’m good too!). I get along with other dogs and kitties too, properly introduced of course.

I can be a little shy of new people but warm up quickly and I love all the attention I can get. I’m a goofy, sweet, and sassy doggo who has been at the shelter for 230+ days. I’d really like to find my forever home.

Blue Eyes are Crying in the Rain! ☔💙And, some Brown Eyes, too! We are all looking for the love of our lifetime. If it could possibly be you, come see us. We’ll be waiting at the PetSmart on Glenstone in Springfield, MO on Saturday, June 7. We’ll be there from 10a-2p. Polk County Humane Society and HFLCS Rescue will both have puppies and adults, large and small, a great variety of breeds 🐾 We will also both have cats and kittens for adoption. You can’t enjoy the lake in the rain, so might as well adopt a puppy to take with you there the rest of the summer! 🐈‍⬛ 💙

UPDATE: Iris has been adopted!!

Hi, I’m Iris! I’m a 6 year old Great Dane with a loving personality. Unfortunately, I tested positive for heartworms- but no worries as I just had my last injection 🤞. However, I have to be on cage rest for the next 6-8 weeks. Would anyone be willing to take me home? PCHS covers the rest of my heartworm treatment.

I can be adopted, fostered, or even fostered-to-adopt!
I seem to do good with all and am house trained.
