We are still anxiously awaiting all the paperwork to clear thru legal at the prison.

Idaho Mastiff Rescue, Inc. is so excited to start the Inmates & Mastiffs Service of Idaho Program. It is a huge opportunity for our dogs as well as the inmates at the Idaho Maximum Security Prison. We have selected 5 Mastiffs to participate in the program. The dogs will be assigned a primary handler and 2 back-up handlers. The dogs will stay with the handlers for a minimum of 8 weeks. During that time, the dogs will be trained for socialization, obedience, and beginner Service Work. Our intent of this page is to allow people to follow the progress of each dog in the program.
These dog will be available for adoption once they graduate the program.
Please note that Idaho Mastiff Rescue, Inc is a 501 c3 non-profit, run solely by volunteers. The prison provides no funding for this program. We hope you find it in your heart to donate and/or volunteer. We are always in need of cash donations to help cover vet bills and operational expenses and need dog food, kennels, dog beds, enrichment toys, elevated food bowls, dog treats, etc.
