One of the new objects we introduced this last week was the ruffland intermediate two door kennel. They are free to explore and get comfortable and confident going in and out of the kennel. There are times where all seven of the little pups are in the kennel together. Haven’t been able to get a picture of this because as soon as I come into the room to take a picture, they all pop out to see what is going on🤣. We will continue working on this until they go to their new homes. We progress to putting the doors on the kennel and continuing the process of teaching them that the kennel is their den and safe space an important skill for all puppies and dogs to have

Intro to interactive toys today at 6.5weeks old. Soaked some of their kibble in warm water to soften it up and stuffed some of that into the Kong and then just placed it around their play area and watch them figure it out and have fun.

Kongs offer several great benefits:
• Mental stimulation — Dogs have to problem-solve to get the food out, keeping their minds engaged.
• Slows eating — Great for dogs who gulp food too fast, reducing risk of bloat and aiding digestion.
• Relieves boredom — Can keep a dog occupied for extended periods, especially when left alone.
• Reduces separation anxiety — A stuffed Kong given at departure creates a positive association with being alone.
• Soothes teething puppies — Frozen Kongs are especially helpful for easing puppy teething discomfort.
• Redirects chewing — Gives dogs an appropriate outlet for their natural chewing urge, protecting furniture and belongings.
• Promotes calm behavior — The licking and chewing involved releases calming endorphins, helping anxious or overstimulated dogs settle.
• Versatile and durable — Can be stuffed with countless foods (peanut butter, kibble, banana, yogurt) and are built to withstand heavy chewing.

Way to go Betty! Bourbon Creeks Bootleg Betty (trekxbourbon litter) running her first official game as the bat dog for the boise hawks last night. Bourbon is still at home on maternity leave with the 5 week old pups(repeat breeding of Betty’s litter) but will join her in July as both continue the family legacy❤️⚾️🏈🥃

These little nuggets are 5 weeks old today🥃 pups are enjoying playtime with their new cube in the living room play pen. We still have three males available. Message me if you are interested in finding out more information.

Been a big week for the puppies lots of growth and new things in the Welping box. They’re doing great using the little potty pad, eating gruel supplemented by Bourbon feeding. Each day they are introduced to a new item and different surfaces. It’s amazing watching them grow so fast.
