Puzzle is sweet, loving, confident, yet easy going. Just what we look for in a guardian dog. She is a very quiet girl but not afraid to venture out and is always the first one to crawl into my lap.
As she is a poodle, and highly intelligent, mental stimulation and regular activity is definitely a requirement for this amazing girl. She would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a regular buddy and will be ideal for a family or individual that wants to have a dog that is an active part of the family. Soccer practice? Camping trips? Lake days? She is going to want to be in on the action right there with you.
“Beneath the curly, low-allergen coat is an elegant athlete and companion for all reasons and seasons.
Poodles come in three size varieties: Standards should be more than 15 inches tall at the shoulder; Miniatures are 15 inches or under; Toys stand no more than 10 inches. All three varieties have the same build and proportions. At dog shows, Poodles are usually seen in the elaborate Continental clip. Most pet owners prefer the simpler Sporting clip, in which the coat is shorn to follow the outline of the squarely built, smoothly muscled body. Forget any preconceived notions about Poodles you may have: Poodles are eager, athletic, and wickedly smart dogs of remarkable versatility. The Standard, with his greater size and strength, is the best all-around athlete of the family, but all Poodles can be trained with great success.” -AKC Poodle description

What is a “Guardian Home”?
We believe no dog should live their lives in outdoor runs/kennels or in large packs. All dogs should be beloved companions that attend family trips and outings. Dogs deserve our one-on-one care and attention. However, a responsible breeding program needs a large enough gene pool to be able to very picky and selective about their breeding pairs and timeline. The happy-medium answer to this. Guardian homes allow us to have multiple dogs in our program without the dogs ever lacking what they deserve. At the end of their breeding term, they’re retired and remain with their guardian family for life.
We are a home-away-from-home for our guardian dogs. They know us. Love us. Trust us. They have fun here and are treated as our personal family pets while here for breeding, whelping and raising puppies.
Having open, happy relationships with our guardians is important to us!
