The Alarming amount of scammers within the dog industry has become increasingly common. Many scammers are posing as reputable breeders. Here are some tips to prevent you from becoming a victim of a scam.

Red flags
*Anyone reaching out to you via social media in a private message stating they have puppies available.
*Low prices
*Wanting payment via gift cards or untraceable payments.
*Checks or cashiers check
*No contracts

Things you can do to avoid being scammed

*Ask the breeder questions
*Do your research on the breed and breeder
*Don’t look for a puppy in social media groups
*Reverse image search
*Ask for puppy photos with your name or a saying in the photo
*Research pricing of the breed
*Ask for live video of the puppy
*Look up the breeder online
*Talk on the phone
*Get documentation and contracts from the breeder
*Make payments through a secured site that is traceable such as Gooddog, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or pay Cash at pick up.
*Trust your instincts

🚨🚨Giant Schnauzers Club of America Members🚨🚨

My name is Frank Lavoie, and I am running to become your Midwest Regional Director of the GSCA. I am counting on your vote to keep the club moving to the future.

When elected, I vow to educate and mentor fellow giant enthusiasts. As the current President of Ozarks Kennel Club, which was established in 1937, I have proven my leadership and mentoring skills hosting meet the breeds, organizing our yearly conformation show, hosting FastCat events and fundraising benefits, finally offering seminars focused on education for members as well as the public.

One of my main focuses as your Midwest Regional Director is to continue public education. Being in the heartland of back yard breeders and with our breed popularity moving up the rankings at an alarming rate, educating the public about our breed is key. I plan to organize seminars and meet the breed events in our area reaching as many people as possible. I plan to speak on the behalf of the GSCA at a local commercial kennel club meeting, steering the commercial industry away from our breed.

As your Midwest Regional Director, my commitments to our members are the following:
I will be a resource for all members both new and old as well as anyone interested in our club.
I will always respond in a timely manner to your messages, calls, and emails.
I will be an advocate for our region taking your suggestions and recommendations to the Board to be discussed and approved.
I will help keep moving our club forward into the future and be a great resource to all Giant Schnauzer fanciers.
I will bring back Regional fun days helping connect our members and supporting members like you.
I will be a tireless advocate for our members and breed.

Shaina T9 that don’t impress me much took Best Of Winners and Best Op for a 4 point Major her second weekend out in the states! Shaina was bred by Adam and Myself and is Co Owned by Susan Milton-lloyd. Thank you Judge Linda M Riedel for awarding our girl!

Gaia Ozark Mountains Goddes of Eath at LNL was reserve winners bitch to the major.

Russle Russle Crown De Pichera had a blast as always taking 2nd in his class.

The past 3 days we have been at the Giant Schnauzer Club of America’s National Specialty!

We took four of our dogs and everyone of them made us proud!

The Big winner was Miss Gaia ( Ozark Mountain’s Goddess Of Earth at LNL’s) earning Winners Bitch and Going on to take Best Of Winners in Breed earning her 1st 5 point major towards her championship!

We are super proud to be members of The GSCA and couldn’t have asked for a better National.
